Hello! I’m Yasmine and I live in Béja. There are four seasons in a year and twelve months.
Winter is December, January and February. It is cold and rainy. In Aïn Draham, in the mountains, it is sometimes snowy!
Spring is March, April and May. It is sunny and warm, and the fields are green and full of flowers.
Summer is June, July and August. It is very hot. We go to the beach in Tabarka and we swim every day.
Autumn is September, October and November. It is cloudy and windy, and we go back to school. In November, my family picks olives with my grandparents.
My favourite season is spring because I like flowers and I love the colour green. What’s your favourite season?

🧩 Grammar القواعد
Noun + y = adjective. We add -y to some weather nouns to make adjectives: rain ➡️ rainy, cloud ➡️ cloudy, wind ➡️ windy, snow ➡️ snowy.
When a short word ends in one vowel + one consonant, we double the last letter: sun ➡️ sunny, fog ➡️ foggy.
To describe the weather, we say: It’s + adjective: It’s sunny. It’s windy. To ask: What’s the weather like?
Seasons and months: months always start with a capital letter (January, May). We say in + season or month: in winter, in July.
نُضيف y إلى اسم من أسماء الطقس فنحصل على صفة: rain ➡️ rainy. إذا انتهت الكلمة القصيرة بحرف صوتي ثم حرف ساكن نُضاعف الحرف الأخير: sun ➡️ sunny. أسماء الأشهر تبدأ دائمًا بحرف كبير، ونقول in قبل الفصل والشهر.
